The Anthropogenic Risk is the probability of damage, injury, liability, loss or any other negative occurrence caused by human intervention.
Anthropogenic Risk may be:
• “direct”, if the damage is willingly dealt (e.g. sabotage or terrorist attack) or it is caused by miss-operation (e.g. car crash, human error in chemical plant etc.), or
• “indirect”, if the damage is a side-effect or a cascading effect of any human activity (e.g. wrong design, inherent technological risk etc.).
